BE is a vibrant and evolving organisation and we are recognised as a leader in the CACD sector. We are constantly in search of new ways, new art forms and more effective strategies for facilitating long-term social change. BE believes that by pursuing the development of new professional, artistically challenging and innovative practices, we will not only have a better chance of truly making a difference to communities, we will also acquire new skills, capabilities and capacity as an effective CACD organisation.

In 2007, BE was chosen as one of the 11 Key Producer (KP11) organisations to receive funding from the Community Partnerships section of the Australia Council for the Arts. Drawn from across mainland Australia, KP11 organisations work within a wide range of communities and with a diverse range of arts and non-arts partners. The KP11 have demonstrated outstanding leadership and success in community, arts and cultural development.
